If Warpia's previous USB to HDMI solutions simply weren't complete enough for you, WarpiaTV might pique your interest. Acting as a middleman between you and the internet, WarpiaTV combines a new WarpiaTV browser with a seven-function motion controller -- giving you couch potato access to services like Facebook, Twitter and Netflix, as well as anything else you have lying around your hard drive. The wired version of the setup will set you back $80, or you could splurge for the WarpiaTV wireless edition for $120 more. Read on for a look at the outfit's new wireless controller, or just to gawk at the official press release.

drag2share: T-Mobile announces the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, available 'later this year'

Source: http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/galaxy-s-blaze-4g-t-mobile/

Hot on the heels of the Galaxy S II's success, T-Mobile's getting another Samsung 4G device brewed up. The new smartphone, called the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, isn't set to be available until later this year, which unfortunately means we're getting very little details at the moment. According to the press release, the Blaze will have a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 42Mbps HSPA+ and a "brilliant Super AMOLED touch screen." Again, this is all we have been given at the moment, and we're confused by the fact that the display doesn't have an HD in front nor a Plus in back, as well as the phone's use of "Galaxy S" in the title. As always, it's our hope that this CES announcement will be shortly followed up with an opportunity to get some hands-on time and more details, and we'll keep you posted with any updates as they come in.

Update: At tonight's T-Mobile event, we heard a slightly narrower timeframe for launch: sometime in the first half of the year.

drag2share: Motorola and Intel hold hands for multi-year, multi-device partnership, shipments start 2H 2012

Source: http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/motorola-intel-android-smartphone-partnership/

Well, look who just showed up at Intel's CES 2012 keynote? Motorola Mobility's own Sanjay Jha just grabbed a bit of the limelight -- long enough to announce a multi-year, multi-device agreement that should see Intel's Medfield chips powering Moto's hardware (the second announced behind Lenovo) in the not-too-distant future. Naturally, we're guessing Android will be the OS of choice here, but we can only guess what Motorola's going to do when all of its other chip partners come knocking with new questions.

Update: We've learned that product shipments from the partnership will start in the second half of this year.

Follow along at our Intel liveblog here!

drag2share: Blue Microphones Tiki, Mikey Digital and Spark Digital hands-on

Source: http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/blue-microphones-tiki-mikey-digital-and-spark-digital-hands-on/

We swung by Blue Microphones' booth at CES to get our hands on its trio of new mics, and while the Mikey Digital and Spark Digital (the former for iPhone and iPad, and the latter for iPad only) looked very much like their analog counterparts, the cute little Tiki was quite the attention-seeker with its cyborg snail-like shape (and did we mention that there's a push button on its butt for toggling Intelligent Mute?). The new Spark's shock-mount desktop stand also intrigued us -- we'd say it's a nice blend of the old mount and the Yeti's stand. Other than that, there's really not much else to say about these funky-looking mics, so we'll let our photos below do the rest of the job.

drag2share: Lenovo K800 Intel Medfield smartphone hands-on (video)

Source: http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/lenovo-k800-intel-medfield-smartphone-hands-on/

Well it looks like we have a surprise guest at Showstoppers tonight. Lenovo just dropped by with its just-announced K800 -- the first Intel-powered smartphone to see the light of day. The beastly 4.5-inch 720p device sample that the company had on-hand is running a highly modified version of Android, and while the interface may not look familiar, the overall app experience shouldn't be much different from what you're used to. The official spec list includes a 1.6GHz Intel Medfield processor, Android 2.3, a TFT display and an 8 megapixel camera with a maximum sensitivity of ISO 3200. For now, the K800 is compatible with WCDMA HSPA+ and was running on AT&T's 3G network -- there's no word of LTE on this version, which seems logical considering that the 4G network is a bit hard to come by in Lenovo's native China, where the device is expected to launch first. Naturally, there's also 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS connectivity. We'll be bringing you more on what's undoubtedly the hottest gadget of the evening in the days to come, but jump past the break for an early look at the world's first Medfield smartphone.

Update: With no access to Android Market, our benchmarking abilities were somewhat limited. We did manage to run SunSpider on the K800 though, which yielded a score of 1,971 -- just a hair faster than the 1,985 that we saw on the Galaxy Nexus.
