We just stopped by Canon's booth here at Pepcom, where we got the chance to get a brief hands-on experience with the company's new ELPH 520 HS point-and-shoot camera. Announced this week at CES, the 10.1-megapixel 520 HS is the higher end of two new ELPH devices Canon Unveiled at CES this week, featuring a high-sensitivity CMOS sensor and sensitivity levels of up to ISO 3200. There's also a three-inch LCD around back, along with support for 1080p video capture, and a generous 12x (28mm) optical zoom lens. During our brief experience with the device we were impressed with its slim build and lightweight construction, though at a retail price of $300, it's definitely within mid- to high-range budgets. It's slated to hit the market in March, but you can get a sneak peek at the 520 HS in the gallery below, and in the video after the break.

We're still trying to come to terms with just how fantastic it would be to keep a Victorinox 1TB drive on a keyring. Think about that potential for data storage -- and horrendous heart-wrenching sadness if you lost it -- at the flip of a wrist. While the drive will eventually ship in both red and black -- configured as only USB drives or more traditional Swiss Army knives -- we only got our mitts on the safer, less pointy versions. An interesting addition to these drives is a small LCD display on the side that might at some point show meaning information, but sadly our only boasted the 1TB size. The Swiss Knife masters expect this device to start shipping in the September or October time frame for what they hope is under a cool $3,000. Yeah, 3k. Perhaps since the Swiss sleep with blankets made of spare money they've lost sight of how many terabytes of traditional storage can be had for that much cake. Regardless, these are magic, so enjoy the pics.

We're certainly not going to say no to more functionality for GoPro's rugged camera units. Here at CES's Digital Experience, we've got to get a glimpse at both the WiFi BacPac and Remote Control Kit. The WiFi Bacpac does what you'd expect it to do -- but with an extra twist. Alongside WiFi connectivity, it'll also play nice with both Android and iOS devices. The apps will display any captured content immediately, with a free-to-download app that will connect with the camera.

The remote control kit, meanwhile, is capable of stringing together several different cams, with a largely dual-button setup that looks an awful lot like a heart-rate monitor. Check the hands-on after the break and expect to see these arrive later this year -- price to be confirmed.

Ever since the Flip went bye-bye all has been mostly quiet on the pocket camcorder front, but today we seem to be hitting the jackpot when it comes to new budget cams. First, Sony unveiled the Bloggie Live (which, er live-streams), and now Toshiba is showing off the Air its first wireless camcorder, the Camileo Air10. Like the Bloggie Live, it's equipped for easy uploads and live-streaming, though in this case the list of supported services includes UStream, YouTube, Facebook, Picasa and Twitvid. For the money, it also snaps 16MP stills and does 1080p video, as does every other camcorder in Toshiba's stable. Moving along, Toshiba also announced the Z100 3D, a 3D camcorder with a glasses-free 3D touchscreen LCD (it's a wee one, at 2.8 inches, so we're not sure how much you'll be able to appreciate the 3D effects before outputting it to a TV). This, too, takes 16 megapixel photos. Look for the Air10 to hit for $150 next month, with the Z100 3D arriving in late March for $220.

You've seen it shown off in poorly lit YouTube clips, now see in a poorly lit hands-on video from our favorite tech blog. The fine folks at ExoPC invited us up to their suite at the Trump hotel (which, by the way, smells exactly like you'd imagine Donald Trump does) to spend some quality time with their desktop extension. The core of the system is a 37-inch 10-point multitouch screen connected to a reasonably powerful laptop. But it's the software that's the real star. The tabletop computer is running the company's custom UI which is built on HTML5. Unlike other table-top computers, you're expected to use it alongside a traditional mouse and keyboard -- not in place of it. There's a dedicated EXOstore that's home to apps, also encoded in HTML5 and designed to run on any machine with ExoUI -- be it the EXOdesk, a tablet or standard desktop PC. In our short time with the desk, we were actually pretty impressed with its responsiveness and intuitiveness. As to be expected there are still a few kinks to work and some tweaking to be done -- but nothing that's an absolute deal breaker. The company plans to release a development kit sometime in the first half of the year, accompanied by developer hardware courtesy of Viewsonic. Fulton Innovation has a knack for coming out with the latest -- ahem -- innovations in the rapidly-expanding world of inductive charging, and this year the crew showed up at Pepcom Digital Experience to show off the company's progress in the world of wireless power. Today its offerings, most of which are still in the works and not ready for final production as of yet, include the ability to charge your handset through your handbag. In addition, it's the first company to find a way to utilize inductive charging through a metal surface; last but not least, Fulton was showing off the upcoming medium-power Qi standard, which is capable of powering up tablets. Check out the video and gallery below to see the new techniques in development for wireless charging.

3M has just unveiled a pair of new mobile projectors here at CES: the Mobile Projector MP410 and MP220. Both devices are notably small and compact: the MP410 measures just four inches in width and length, and stands just one inch tall, while the MP220 weighs in at less than one pound. The MP410 also features 1GB of memory, a microSD slot and USB port, and is capable of projecting 80-inch moving and still images at WXGA resolution, with a brightness of 300 lumens. The MP220, meanwhile, can beam up to 65-inch images onto any flat surface and comes packed with 2GB of memory, along with a brightness of up to 50 lumens. Both are slated to arrive in April, with the MP410 priced at $600 and the MP220 coming in at $480. MetroPCS has had LTE longer than any other carrier in the US, and it's still rolling. At this year's Pepcom Digital Experience, the regional service provider had a couple new devices, one of which being the LG Connect 4G. The second LG handset on MetroPCS to offer the next-gen service (after the Esteem), the Connect is certainly less bulky and much more light to hold, with a 4-inch NOVA display in tow. Clocking in at 1.2GHz, it's also the first handset on the carrier's lineup that contains a dual-core CPU. Amongst these specs, the Connect 4G also sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p HD video capture, and has a VGA front-facing cam. As much as we begged and begged, the reps wouldn't budge on pricing or an exact date, but we do know that it's going to be coming out sometime in February. And if MetroPCS isn't for you -- or if don't live in one of their areas of coverage -- you'll see the Connect as the LG Viper on Sprint as well. As if its acquisition of Swype wasn't enough indication, Nuance has been working on its goal of dominating the Android speech recognition market, one step at a time. Today the company's pressing forward once again by introducing its Dragon Go! app for Google's mobile OS. The app focuses on verbal commands, giving you the ability to ask it to perform internet searches, make dinner reservations, buy movie tickets, play music on services like Pandora and Spotify and the list goes on.
